Online meeting to report the draft results of the reviewing and adjusting of three forest types in Binh Thuan province for period of 2016-2025.

On 16/03/2018, the Conference to report the draft results of the reviewing and adjusting of three forest types in Binh Thuan province for period of 2016-2025. The host of the conference is Mr. Pham Van Nam – Vice Chairman of the Binh Thuan provincial People's Committee.

Implement Decision No. 382/QD-UBND dated 4/02/2016 of the Binh Thuan provincial People's Committee on the approval of the plan for forest protection and development in Binh Thuan province period 2016-2020, Official Letter No. 1451/UBND-KTN dated 5/5/2016 of the Binh Thuan provincial People's Committee to formulate the plans for reviewing, surveying and identifying the areas of less critical protection forest on upstreamto convert into production forest.

At the beginning of March 2018, the project has completed the preparation, fieldwork investigation and internal processing and consultation unit has presented the draft results of the reviewing and adjusting of three forest types in Binh Thuan province for period of 2016-2025.

On 16/03/2018, Mr. Pham Van Nam – Vice Chairman of the Binh Thuan provincial People's Committee – Host of the Conference to report the results of the adjusted three forest types planning in Binh Thuan province at the provincial People's Committee, the conference included functional departments at the provinciallevel, relevant divisions of districts where areforests and forest land of Binh Thuan Province and Institute for Forest Ecology and Environment - the consultation unit to implement the project.

Mr. Le Sy Doanh, Director of Institute for Forest Ecology and Environment, representative of the consultation unit presented the narrative reportof the assignment, the presentation was cast directly to the People's Committees of 10 districts, city, and townfor consultation and agreement on the results of the plan reviewing and adjustment.

The draft resultsofreviewing and adjusting the three forest types has gained the consultations of representatives from the Binh Thuan provincial People's Committee and districts, city, and town. It is expected that the final results of the project will be submitted to the Binh Thuan provincial People's Committee in the final meeting in 2018.
