Along with implementing reform, simplification of administrative procedures, in 2015, the Vietnam Forestry Administration adopted the project of developing the management information system FORMIS is financed by the Government of Finland. Up to now, the project has initially brought about great effectiveness in the state management of the forestry sector. 12/04/2018, Institute for Forest Ecology and Environment (IFEE) held a study exchange on use of FRMS 2.0 software in updating the forest course with FORMIS II expert.

On October 6th, the final day of working session: Spatial analysis for integrated land-use planning & mainstreaming multiple benefits in sub-national REDD+ planning. After four days with knowledge discussing and practicing, the participants gained knowledge basically about methods, support tools in spatial analysis.

Cucumis melo was planted at first sector, Thanh My commune, Son Tay town, Ha Noi city, under project “Development of Special Economic Forest Species in the period of 2011 - 2020”

On October 5th, 2017: The team went to the Ba Vi National Park during the morning and had a field trip on Luot mountain - Vietnam National University of Forestry, practiced with GPS device to identify the coordination of given points and the boundary of the study area in the afternoon.

Following the workshop "Integrated spatial planning: Integrating ecosystem services and climate change into planning" held at the Hanoi Club, the Regional technical working session on Spatial Analysis supporting integrated land use planning organized at the Institute for Forest Ecology and Environment (IFEE), Vietnam National University of Forestry, Xuan Mai Town, Chuong My District, Hanoi, from 03 to 06 October 2017 with the participation of experts on mapping / geographic information (GIS) for land use planning from MPI and MONRE. The regional technical working session was coordinated by experts from the World Conservation Monitoring Center (UNEP-WCMC) and IFEE.

On the morning of September 22, 2017, the Party branch of the Institute for Forest Ecology and Environment held Branch Congress term 2017-2020 with the participation of 18 out of 19 members of the Party, one was absent due to the business trip.
